Volunteer with DAWGDAWG is a primarily volunteer-run organization. The caring interaction between dogs and volunteers serves a dual purpose. It supports the dogs through the loneliness of kenneling, and allows the volunteers to know each dog so that each adopter is matched with the perfect new family member. DAWG relies on the continued support of volunteers. Any time you give to DAWG is valuable, and the contribution you can make to DAWG is limited only by your imagination! No experience is necessary. We welcome anyone over the age of 18, and those under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent, guardian or other approved adult. You can help our dogs in a number of ways:
Any other way you can think of, whatever skill you have, we can use it! To get involved, contact us at dawgnsb@yahoo.com or (805) 681-0561. DAWG General Volunteer Orientation Dates:Sunday, August 8th, 10:00 a.m. Additional InformationDAWG is located next to Santa Barbara County Animal Services. To find us, look for the "DAWG" sign on the front of our building! We ask that all of our volunteers wear closed-toe shoes, and that any volunteer under the age of 18 years be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
